The front patio with its own “porch swing” is another great place to sit and think while watching birds and squirrels play in the bubbling water fountain.Ī high chair, booster chair and an ‘almost full size’ portable crib (not counted in the bed total, make it easy to care for the youngest among us, without having to ‘truck’ everything with you up the mountain. The very private, large outside rear deck features a Jacuzzi, wood burning outside fireplace with gas lighter, swinging basket chairs, a children’s rock-climbing wall, and a large natural gas supplied bar-b-que (never run out of propane). A well-equipped modern kitchen features a large refrigerator / freezer, dishwasher, range and even a wine cooler unit and bread-warming drawer. Last a swamp cooler is available for the main floor. Three upstairs air conditioners, while rarely needed in the cooler mountain climate, are in each of the upstairs bedrooms. The ‘sunset deck’ off the upstairs game room gives great views of its namesake across the tops of nearby trees. This brings the total beds in the lodge to 20.Ī large game room (pool table, ping pong, dart board and 70-inch TV) and well-equipped office space anchor the upstairs public area. Downstairs the living room sofa folds out queen bed. Two quality fold-away beds are stored in the upstairs alcove and can be set up in the game room. Two additional sleeping locations are available. An additional ‘sink and mirror’ are located in an alcove for general use. The four upstairs bedrooms share one full bathroom. Total the room sleeps 6 adults in beds….how many under 12 year-olds fit is your decision. The third bedroom has a solid door.Īlso upstairs is the ‘dorm room’ with two bunk style beds, one of which has a lower queen, and there is also a trundle. The two log cabin bedrooms are separated by a hallway and heavy curtains, plenty of privacy, but not totally soundproof). Three of the bedrooms have queen size beds. Log Cabin Bedroom (ground floor) has a queen bed, solid privacy doors, and an adjoining bathroom that is shared through a separate door with the main cabin.

Located on an infrequently travelled, but still main road, it is plowed regularly, often while the snow is falling. At nearly 6,000 feet elevation it enjoys easy accessibility in all four seasons. With level entry parking for up to 6 cars, and 'no stair' level, front access, entry is easy for all ages. This makes the most of even short weekend getaways. The Lodge is on the 'near side' of the mountain communities, a short 80 to 90 minute drive from most locations in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Located in Twin Peaks, Ca the lodge adjoins the San Bernardino National Forest - halfway between picturesque Lake Arrowhead Village and the town of Crestline/Lake Gregory- about an 8 -10 minute drive each way. The Run-A-Muck lodge is available privately, to family, friends, and trusted ‘friends of friends’ only.
